Water analytics

In order to keep an optimal heating system in operation must not only before commissioning or recommissioning after cleaning, but also at regular intervals, examined the quality of the filling water by means of a water analysis, and is then to be journalized. Elysator has developed three procedures and accordingly high quality tools.

Aqua test "Quick"

A quick analysis of the system water to SWKI / SIA standards for review prior to commissioning. This test is also used to gain a first impression from further tests and measures. Here, the electrical conductivity, total hardness, as well as the pH of the filling water are determined in a very short time.

Aqua test "BASIC"

An essential analysis of the system water to SWKI / SIA standards. The method is applied in the normal case, after three months of operation. It is used to measure the content of chlorides in the filling water, and the total hardness and pH. In addition, this procedure involves a sensory test.

Aqua Test "Multi"

A comprehensive analysis of the system water according to all major standards and beyond. In addition to the measurement of chloride, iron, copper and the oxygen content of the filling water also includes the determination of the total hardness, the pH value and sensory evaluation.

The suitcase contains a series of premium measuring instruments, with which it is possible to determine the following results in the filling water:

  • pH factor in low-salt water
  • Conductivity in µ p. / cm
  • Total hardness
  • other physical parametres

The measuring computer is completely battery powered. It constantly measures the flow rate in liters per minute, the number of liters in a long shot, as well as the content of dissolved minerals in the heating water. It can also make this information in micro Siemens or TDS.

An ion exchanger can be used completely due to the measuring computer. Users in the service area can settle exactly with such a quality measurement computer and achieve the planned result exactly. Therefore, the logging is easier.

The analysis suitcase

In order to assess the exact risks in heating water and accurately initiate counteractive measures, which are also necessary, Elysator provides a high quality analysis suitcase for experts and interested nonprofessionals.

The suitcase contains a series of premium measuring instruments.

1. The ph measuring instrument

With this easy-to-use probe, it’s possible to collect precise knowledge of the pH value of the water in the heating system. This requires only a small amount of liquid. The device itself can be calibrated easily and is optimized for everyday use. In addition, it is quickly to recalibrate again even after the use in cases of hardship.

2. The neodymium magnet

Using this super magnet can be separated from other deposits in sample cup rust particles containing the magnetite oxidation product. It can thus be elicited if the arrears are the result of the corrosion of iron, if they can be magnetically attract.

3. The conductivity-measuring instrument

The ELYSATOR conductivity-measuring instrument is completely maintenance-free, calibrated at the factory and measures the conductivity of liquids between 0 - 9999 micro Siemens µS with an accuracy of +/- 2%. In addition, the temperature is measured in a range of 0 - 80 ° C.

The utensils can also state the total hardness of the water. By titration (drop add-on), the total hardness is measured directly in the water. 5 ml of the liquid to be measured are filled into the clean test tube. While swinging the glass carefully, the reagent is added dropwise. When the color of the liquid jumps from red to green, the number of counted drops is the total hardness in German degrees of hardness dH.

To obtain French degrees of hardness, the value must be multiplied by 1.78.

The responsibility of the water quality and its logging skips from the entrepreneur to the owner after the factory approval. On this occasion, the installer or planner gives the operator a banking book, which also contains the analysis of the filling water quality and first control after 2 months. When professionally maintained heating an annual check is required. It should be noted that this is not a legal requirement in the tests according to SWKI - but they will refrain, as the warranty conditions of the component manufacturers are not met. The small, lightweight single-use cartridges of the Elysator Purotap series are pure resin cartridges to supply the domestic heating water necessities and its demineralization.
